Weekly Task : Week 2

 Second task for subject Media Anthropology are capturing a group or a crowd of people in a place. So what I've done is capture a group/crowd of people on a escalator in Alamanda Putrajaya.

Targeted Social Group : Community

Definition :

Social Group
In the social sciences a social group can be defined as two or more humans who interact with one another, share similar characteristics and collectively have a sense of unity. By this definition, a society can be viewed as a large group, though most social groups are considerably smaller.

Comunnity
A community is a group of people with a commonality or sometimes a complex net of overlapping commonalities, often–but not always–in proximity with one another with some degree of continuity over time.

Escalator is a common thing in a shopping mall. It help us to go from one level to another level without wasting our energy. It can help you to ease you tiredness from shopping spree.

Based on my observation above we can see a group of people or in my case a community that always go to shopping mall and their always use this escalator to go to other level in this shopping centre. We can see a crowd of people gathering around this are to use this escalator to move up and down to places that they want to go.

In my study and experience i can conclude that shopping mall is a place for a community like them and mostly community around the world to gather and to do something once in awhile and they gather in a place that they feel comfortable like Alamanda Putrajaya.
